3 schools unveil program to help students earn an Associate’s Degree for no cost

PATERSON — Several schools in New Jersey are starting a new program called “P-Tech,” which brings together public high schools, businesses and county college to give students clear career pathways and earn an associate’s degree at no cost.

Paterson’s Panther Academy, New Brunswick High School and Burlington City High School are taking part in the program, which has been used in other states and countries.

“Not only will students earn a high school diploma, they’ll get a zero cost associate’s degree in a high growth stem field,” said Governor Phil Murphy.
