THE ONE PLACE FOR WHAT'S HAPPENING IN NEW JERSEY.

Ribbon-cutting held for redeveloped affordable housing units in Jersey City

JERSEY CITY – Over $18M in renovations to Summit Plaza, a set of affordable housing units, were unveiled Thursday at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Almost everything in the units is brand-new, from the kitchens to 700 security cameras with 24-hour monitoring, to a special trash system that uses underground tubes.

Residents at Summit Plaza will only have to pay 30 percent of their income as rent.
