Police in Rockland County issue warning over porch package theives
According to Detective Sergeant Brian Corbett of the Ramapo Police Department, there has been a recent spike of such thefts recently, but there are steps residents can take to protect their deliveries.
“You can track your packages online, see when they’re supposed to be delivered and make arrangements for a friend or neighbor to pick them up for you,” Sgt. Corbett said.
Corbett also is urging residents with surveillance cameras near their front doors to keep the cameras on so police will have an easier time identifying the suspects.
