Josh Gottheimer wins a second term in Congress
HASBROUCK HEIGHTS – Incumbent Democratic Congressman Josh Gottheimer won a second term in the Fifth District against Bergen County attorney John McCann.
“We fight for New Jersey; we fight for America, that’s my job. Looking forward to working with everybody,” Gottheimer said. “Make sure we cut red tape, and really fight for our seniors and Medicare, and make sure we continue to fight for New Jersey.”
Bergen County leaders, like re-elected County Executive Jim Tedesco, also showed support.
The congressman will also see one of his campaign promises, backing first responders, come to fruition in Bergen County.
“You’re going to hear me announce very shortly about an announcement in our Bergen County first responders, something very big, and we’re going to have their backs as we always do,” Tedesco said.
Gottheimer said his political efforts would be bipartisan.
