Today is the final day of extreme heat and humidity. Many parts of the region had temperatures spike high enough to reach an official heat wave. A heat wave is defined as 3 days in a row with a 90 degree temperature or better.
However... things will change big time this weekend. The clouds will thicken and the rain drops will become more frequent for both Saturday and Sunday. The temperature will also drop a good 20 degrees from today's high. This will leave us with 70's rather than 90's!
