Volunteers Organize Event in After Hurricane Sandy's Impact
MINEOLA — Nassau County volunteers organized a Halloween party Saturday that aimed to help children who could not trick-or-treat this year because of damage caused by Hurricane Sandy celebrate the spooky holiday. Besides children decked out in their favorite characters' costumes, the event at the county executive's office also featured games, arts and crafts, a pumpkin patch and a dance competition.
