Obama: Officials Focused on Restoring Power to Areas Still in the Dark
WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Barack Obama spoke with aides at the Federal Emergency Management Agency headquarters Saturday, along the governors of New Jersey, New York and Connecticut via conference call. The president said the military, crews and machinery have been sent to Tri-State areas experiencing electrical outages in an effort to quickly restore power back to affected residents. Obama also added that officials are focusing on finding locations to set up temporary housing outside of shelters to help displaced residents.
