New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and other officials held a news conference Saturday afternoon to update the latest progress made in Hurricane Sandy recovery efforts. Bloomberg urged elderly or ill residents experiencing cold dropping temperature due to outages temperatures to head to the heating centers that have opened. The mayor also updated on the latest progress made to restore public transportation and on the number of gas stations open.
