Frustrated motorists eager to return to work are waking up hours earlier to wait in line at the few functioning gas stations in the area. Lines miles long extend across major highways where only a hand full of stations from New Jersey to Connecticut remain open after the massive blackouts. Those lucky enough make it through the waiting hours while others are left stranded on roadsides after running out of fuel. Still the frustration is even bigger for residents who have to stand unprotected from the chilly, November wind to fill up their gas containers for their generators.
