Governor Andrew Cuomo Says This is 'Frightening'
New York City residents will have a difficult time getting back to their daily routines following Hurricane Sandy as Con Edison officials announce to the media that it may take weeks to restore power to blackout areas. Construction barriers still surround Manhattan from the Upper West Side down to the Lower East Side where Con Edison turned the power off Sunday in preparation for Sandy. Now at day two, residents on the island are worried about how long it will take to get their electricity back and how life will resolve in the meantime.
