LONG BEACH — With 2011’s Hurricane Irene causing power outages for days, Long Island Power Authority Director of Communications Mark Gross said they have a plan in place to quicken outage response time as Hurricane Sandy makes her way toward the region. Gross warned that residents should know that Sandy has the possibility to cause multiple-day outages. FiOS1 News’ Carolyn Fortino reports.
