ISLAND PARK — When a pipe burst inside of the Island Park Jewish Center, congregants at the synagogue were left with no place to observe Rosh Hashanah. However, upon hearing about the synagogue's problems, the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church stepped in to offer their help. Father John Tutone called on his parishioners to pitch in and help prepare Sacred Heart’s parish center so that the synagogue's worshippers could have somewhere to pray. FiOS1’s Carolyn Fortino reports.
