Brian Andreski, 27, Charged With Vehicular Homicide
EAST ISLIP — The Dix Hills man accused of boating while intoxicated on the Great South Bay in June was indicted Wednesday on homicide charges. Brian Andreski, 27, is the first New York State resident to be charged with aggravated vehicular homicide in a boat crash. Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota called the case against Andreski a novel, and added that the defendant was appropriately charged given the fact that there have been many recent BWI incidents. Authorities said Andreski’s blood alcohol content was point one eight percent and he also had traces of cocaine at the time of the accident. According to police, the defendant was also carrying marijuana inside the vessel.
