Experts: Shutdown of Gulf Refineries Could Lead to High Gas Prices

Experts said if any refineries in the Gulf of Mexico are forced to shut down because of Isaac, it could cause a rise in gas prices. The national average for gas in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 topped nearly four dollars per gallon. According to experts, the current national average is $3.63.
