Permits Required for 8-Inch Trunk Diameter or Larger
The Sea Cliff Village Board of Trustees has changed the definition of a tree for residents needing a permit for tree removal, according to Newsday. Residents must now apply for the $25 permits through the village's 4-person tree committee for trees with an 8-inch trunk diameter. The prior rules called for permits for trees larger than 6 inches in diameter. The evaluation process includes an on-site inspection.
