CENTER MORICHES – Janine Barr's son was among 18 district students whose advanced placement history exams went missing. Officials aren't sure what happened to the essay portion of the exams taken back in May.

Superintendent Russell Stewart told FiOS1 News that the exams were mailed out to ETS in Princeton, N.J., via UPS. But the testing center claims they never received the essay portions of the two-part exam and were unable to locate the exams.

The students were given several options. Barr's son chose to take his calculated score of 3 and several others students have reportedly opted for the same. "Mistakes get made and you need to forgive people and move along," Barr said.
