Teachers Receive Mixed Scores
LONG ISLAND — The Long Island teachers' report cards are in, and the scores are not all good. According to the NYS Department of Education, teachers in our area received a highly effective rating of seven percent, and effective rating of 77 percent and six percent were rated ineffective.
The scores are one of four measures used for overall evaluation, officials say, and will be used to evaluate principals and teachers in 2013.
