OYSTER BAY — Major League scouts were on hand Thursday to watch over 30 of the island's best high school baseball players at the second annual Long Island Baseball Showcase at John Burns Park. The players showed their talents on the field in front of scouts from every professional team as well as over 40 college teams. At the 2011 event, two participants were drafted into the majors while seven received college scholarships for baseball.
