TRENTON – Governor Chris Christie signed a bipartisan bill Tuesday for the second day in a row, this time in an effort to protect crime victims' rights in court. The bill was named for former assembly Republican leader Alex DeCroce, who collapsed and died inside the statehouse building Jan. 9 following a late night voting session. His wife, BettyLou DeCroce, has taken his seat and is now carrying out his legacy.
