COPIAGUE — Suffolk County lawmakers are proposing new legislation that would require all boaters operating a vessel on waterways to complete an approved boating safety course. Suffolk legislators and boating activists gathered Monday to voice support for the bill and the need for stronger boating safety regulations. FiOS1’s Carolyn Fortino reports.
