MINEOLA — Advocates held a mock funeral outside Nassau County Supreme Court Thursday in an effort to urge lawmakers to restore funding to youth services. The rally comes after County Executive Edward Mangano announced more than $7.3 million in cuts to youth programs on July 6. The groups that are already shutdown or are in danger of closing include after-school programs, anti-violence programs, family counseling and homework help.
