NASSAU COUNTY — A Nassau County commander accused of providing misleading information and inaccurate reports at the Sixth Precinct has now been accused of the doing the same thing in the Fifth Precinct. According to investigators, former commander Thomas DePaola degraded some crimes to misdemeanors and failed to report others. As a result, DePaola was demoted from Commander to Patrol Captain.
