Mark Niemczyk, Thomas Scalgione Allegedly Pocketed Donations
NEW JERSEY — A recently filed lawsuit claims two men raised thousands of dollars in a 9/11 charity scam and used the money for personal use. Mark Niemczyk and Thomas Scalgione, both of Jersey City, allegedly drove around in a truck emblazoned with the names of firefighters and police officers who died in the World Trade Center attack. The suit also claims the men failed to register the charity as required by state law.
