RONKONKOMA — Congressman Steve Israel and Senator Charles Schumer announced that MacArthur Airport will receive $4.5 million in federal funds for runway improvements. The funds will be used to upgrade the runways as well as add more signs and pavement markings. Officials say the plan will help improve safety in the airport and will help promote the expansion.
