RIVERHEAD — Commuters in Eastern Long Island are being advised to prepare for delays as road projects will begin the coming weeks. Nearly an 11-mile stretch of the Long Island Expressway in the Town of Brookhaven and the Town of Riverhead will be renovated. The project is part of Governor Andrew Cuomo's New York Works program, an initiative developed with the intention of job creation and economic stimulus.
