AURORA, Colo. — Aurora Police Chief Dan Oates confirmed that 12 people were killed in the mass shooting inside a Denver-area movie theater. A total of 59 other people were injured, according to Oates.
He also confirmed that the shooter was James Eagan Holmes, 24. "We are not looking for any other suspects," said Oates. "We are confident that he acted alone."
