COPIAGUE — Police say a victim was struck twice and killed by a vehicle while attempting to cross Sunrise Highway. According police, the victim was first struck by a runaway car and was later struck by a second vehicle which stopped following the accident. Police say the victim, 38-year-old Jose Hernandez, died at the scene.
