MASSAPEQUA — Police said a vehicle struck two teenage sisters on Merrick Avenue, leaving one of the victims in serious condition. According to investigators, a Toyota Corolla hit the two girls, after which they were transported to the hospital. The 18-year-old driver of the car was tested with a breathalyzer but the results came back negative, according to police. Authorities said there is not apparent criminality at the time.
