Helen Keller Services for the Blind announced that it is closing its facilities in Huntington and Hempstead along with another one in Brooklyn. The organization said it is severely short of funds and that the state money it relied upon has depleted. Most of the nearly 200 clients that the organization serves are on Long Island.
