Officials announced the shuttered Kings Park Psychiatric Center will soon be torn down, possibly by the end of July. The center, which closed in 1996, is among the 15 buildings filled with asbestos that New York State wants to demolish. Officials said Indiana contractor National Salvage won the contract to demolish the buildings.
