For the first time politicians will be excluded from speaking during the 2012 commemorations of the September 11th attacks. The chairman of the memorial foundation, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, sent a letter to victim’s families saying he was not sure each victim’s name should be read given that they are all listed on the memorial. However, the names will be read by the family members of people who lost their lives that day.
