Utility Company Requested $115M Reimbursement
The federal government is auditing the Long Island Power Authority’s request for $115 million. FEMA is going over every item in the utility company’s request for federal assistance, according to Newsday. LIPA is claiming the reimbursement for damage and overtime costs from Tropical Storm Irene.
