NEW CASSEL — Police said Darwing Nunez, 28, was spotted beating another man with a belt early Wednesday morning. Nunez fled but was tracked down by a police dog, who bit Nunez. The beating victim, the officer and the suspect were all treated for minor injuries. Nunez is being charged with assault, weapons possession, resisting arrest and criminal trespassing.
