Suffolk County will be spraying for the West Nile Virus in Water Island, Fire Island Pines and Atlantique Park. Even though the risks are low, the health department has issued some safety tips. Pregnant women and children should avoid exposure and everyone should avoid the sprayed areas for at least 30 minutes. Residents are urged to keep belongings inside.
