AMITYVILLE – Grace Varley loves to color and read with her 2-year-old brother. Myles, who follows his big sister everywhere, was very lucky to have Grace around when he began choking on chicken nuggets.

Christine Doran was feeding her grandchildren dinner when Myles' lips turned blue and he passed out. After attempting to help him and call 911, she eventually ran next door for assistance. Grace, who saw the phone on the counter and had learned in school how to call for help, tried dialing 911 again. Grace spoke with police and help soon arrived for Myles.

"That's just the type of kid she is," her mother says.
