‘Kites for a Cure’ Raises Funds for Lung Cancer Research

SOUTHAMPTON — Around 1,100 people gathered in Southampton and flew kites to support lung cancer research and remember those who were lost to the disease at the sixth annual “Kites for a Cure.” The event, organized by nonprofit Uniting Against Lung Cancer, raised $60,000 for innovative lung cancer research throughout the country. Push Pause spoke to organizers and cancer survivors about the crucial role played by such events in raising funds and awareness.
