SOUTHAMPTON — Around 1,100 people gathered in Southampton and flew kites to support lung cancer research and remember those who were lost to the disease at the sixth annual “Kites for a Cure.” The event, organized by nonprofit Uniting Against Lung Cancer, raised $60,000 for innovative lung cancer research throughout the country.
