Brooke Bene Lost Ring on Her Way to Work Tuesday
A Huntington woman is thankful to a pair of quick-thinking Long Island Rail Road employees for finding the two-carat sapphire engagement ring she lost on her way to work Tuesday. Brooke Bene said she was riding the train when she took her ring off to lotion her hands and forgot to put it back on. It was not until she exited the LIRR car at Atlantic Terminal when she noticed it was missing. She contacted the LIRR and spoke to employee Deana Teemer, who with the assistance of conductor Tim Parrett, were able to find the ring after determining which train and car Bene boarded.
