Order Prevents Nassau Executive From Furloughing Employees
NASSAU COUNTY — The Civil Service Employees Association was granted a temporary restraining order Wednesday to prevent a law that would allow Nassau Executive Edward Mangano to cut $41 million by furloughing employees and reducing county contributions to help benefits. Nassau has until July 5 to present its case to the court and the union will have until July 16 to respond.
