President Obama proposed a new law Friday that would prevent the deportation of any people who arrived in the U.S. under the age of 16 and are currently older than 30, or have lived in the U.S. for at least 5 years and have no criminal record. His new policy has received praise from some groups but has also prompted Republicans to accuse him of overstepping his authority.
