Dennis and Marion Zilinski look back on the life of their son, 1st Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski, as part of our Memorial Day Tribute 2012. Zilinski was killed during combat operations while serving in the U.S. Army in Bayji, Iraq, on Nov. 19, 2005. Zilinski’s greatest loves were God, his family, country, friends, swimming and the U.S. Army. The Lt. Dennis W. Zilinski II Memorial Fund was created and founded in 2006 by a group of Zilinski's close friends to honor his memory and spirit for life.
