RIDGE — The parents of a high school student who was suspended for posting an anti-bullying video online said they hope the suspension is taken off their daughter’s record when they meet with school officials Thursday morning. As part of an assignment in an effort to raise awareness on the issue, Longwood High School freshman Jessica Barba, 15, created a fictional Facebook page and a YouTube video of a girl who commits suicide after being bullied.

Jessica said the school told her she caused a disruption when a student called police upon seeing the suicidal messages posted on the fictional page. Jessica insisted she had emphasized the story and character were fake.
