ParSal Vending Supply Modernizes the Clucking, Classic Favorite
OCEANSIDE – At 13, Frank Parisi began working for his family's business, which manufactured charms for the kind of coin-operated machines found in supermarkets, shopping malls and rest stops. At 18, he founded ParSal Vending Supply with the purchase of a single gumball machine. Nearly two decades later, Parisi is well on his way to reviving the industry on Long Island, which was home to some of the biggest names in bulk vending from 1940-1970.
Enter the all-american chicken machine, which spins, clucks and releases an egg with a toy inside. Parisi is modernizing the classic favorite. "I needed to find a machine that was once very successful. The original chicken machine changed our industry," he said. Parisi hopes to bring the manufacturing of the machine all the way from China to Oceanside.
