SUFFOLK COUNTY — The Suffolk County Department of Social Services notified 347 parents last week that their children no longer qualified for child day care stipends, following a revision in the department’s income requirements. As of Friday, more than 580 Suffolk children are losing access to government-funded child care benefits, sources said. FiOS1’s Mariah Sparks reports.
