GARDEN CITY — Nassau County Executive Ed Mangano delivered his third State of the County address Wednesday evening. Mangano dedicated much of his speech to the subject of financial reform, lauding his administration's work to cut $200 million in wasteful spending. Mangano also addressed his administration's commitment to combatting Nassau County's prescription drug problem. Mangano also promoted new projects, including plans for a multi-purpose exhibition center at Mitchel Field. Reiterating a clear message throughout his speech, Mangano made clear that his administration was tackling tough problems in the county in order to promote fiscal responsibility and to provide public safety for citizens.
