Walking into Mineola Diner is like walking into another era. The building, decor and vibe have not changed since the 1940s. Co-owners Mike Alpert and Shane Fritsche met at Hofstra University and took over the diner in 2011. The menu's highlights are the big breakfasts with several styles of pancakes, omelettes and other staples. What really gets Rob going is their cannoli-stuffed French toast.
