Job Description
WRNN-TV in Rye Brook, NY is seeking experienced and dependable News Line Producers.
Must be able to line produce, write compelling news stories and work well under pressure & tight deadlines.
This is a part time position, candidates must be able to work weekends and also have flexibility to work a variety of fill-in shifts during the week.
- Select stories stack and write show.
- Work well under pressure while still creating an excellent news product.
- Report timely news.
Required Skills
- Excellent writing skills for broadcast and Internet.
- Ability to show and tell compelling news story with strong visual elements.
- Strong working knowledge of local and national news issues.
- Ability to produce newscasts in a live and live-to-tape news wheel operation.
- Ability to produce news stories and segments with little supervision.

- TV News writing and line producing a plus.
Required Experience
Experience: 1-2+ years news producing experience is required. Also, experience with ENPS is required.

Job Description
Responsible for editing video segments and the creation of broadcast graphics for daily newscasts.
Required Skills
- Edit video segments and creation of broadcast graphics for daily newscasts.
- Operate studio camera, teleprompter, audio, and other duties as needed.
- Excellent attention to detail including grammar and spelling.
- Working knowledge of live control room operations and fast paced newscast production techniques.
- Good communication skills and work well under pressure with minimal supervision
Required Experience
- Knowledge of Final cut Pro required.
- Knowledge of Photoshop required.
- Knowledge of After Effects required.
- Thorough knowledge of television production and post production.
- Advanced working knowledge of the NTSC and PAL transmission and video standards.
- Knowledge of sound mixing techniques and procedures.
- Ability to perform complex audio and video editing and mixing tasks as well as complex video effects in storytelling and design.

One Man Band Reporter
Key Responsibilities
- Generate story ideas and pitch the ideas to a Producer/and News Director.
- Monitor and keep track of local news related events by way of email/phone tips, Associated Press “day schedule events” and newswires, local newspapers, and newsroom faxes.
- Prepare and research stories to cover and questions to ask during interviews as directed by producer and/or news director.
- Field produce stories (at least 2 per day) as a one-man-band reporter by arranging on-camera interviews, stand-ups, and b-roll footage; this includes scheduling, framing, and blocking.
- Maintain, transport, and understand how to operate ENG equipment.
- Perform as videographer/editor by gathering story elements on shoots.
- Perform “as-lives” or live hits in the field or in studio as directed.
- Screen and transcribe field tapes.
- Prepare reporter’s script in accordance with news director’s approval and deadline.
- Enter story elements including script, supers, and TRT into ENPS (station’s editorial news platform).
- Voice track (record narration) by way of Final Cut Pro (station’s editing software).
- Edit material in accordance using Final Cut Pro.
- Send digital files to Transmission using Newsqueue (station’s digital transfer system).
Required Skills
- A passion for the news
- Proven track record of demonstrative storytelling, and an engaging on-air presence
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Must have a valid drivers’ license
Required Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Communication or related and a minimum of 1 year professional news reporting experience.
